Initials with Fusion360

Initial sketches of my initials (R.C.K) I was able to flex around with the different dimensions and orientations of the individual characters, allowing some interesting lofts to be made.

As I was lofting my initials, initially (pun intended) they would not loft due to the orientation between my "R" and "C" having too sharp of a curve thus unable to make the connection between the "C" and the "K"

I then proceeded to play around with the different materials

Then I tried a combination of different materials to see how the different appearances interacted and affected each other. In the end I kept two combinations that I liked the most.

A combination of Mahogany wood as base and clear glass surrounding the interior of my Initials mimicking a living space within the model.

Experimented with a background just to see what it would look like in real world context

Next I tried a combination of different woods. Using 'walnut' as the flooring, followed by cherry wood,  pine and oak (semigloss) along the curved surface within the model

Next I again tried to choose a suitable background just to see what the model would like like in context

Overall, this fusion360 model was really fun to make. And was very insightful to see how close to real life these models can be made and flexed.
